Full Description
Remains of an enclosure, possibly for livestock, located on the summit of Elrick Hill. It measures 14.6m in diameter. The walls are ruinous, 1.4m wide and 0.3m high, and the area is heavily wooded. It does not appear on the OS 1st or 2nd edition maps. This may be the 'circular fort' referred to by Cruickshank in 1934, although OS site visit 1961 concluded that it appeared to be a stock enclosure.
