Full Description

Farmstead, still in use, depicted on historic maps, and site of the Skene family Mansion. The 1st and 2nd edition maps show a U-plan steading with a rectangular building to the east, two to the west and house with attached garden to the north. The present house dates from circa 1835 and is single storey with attic, with masonry dormers with steep gablets, and shafted chimneys, It is probably built on the site of a mansion of the Skene family who had a private burial ground (NJ81SE0081) on the property.
