Full Description

Farmhouse built on possible site of manor. The farmhouse was built circa 1800, and is a 3-window, 2-storey and basement house, with two wings to the rear. There are two cheese-presses at the end of the east wing. The house is harled, with a slated roof. The architectural drawings for this farmhouse (and associated farm) were reproduced in 'The general View of Aberdeenshire', published in 1811, as an example of good design.
