Full Description
Circular sheepfold depicted on the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey map of 1901, but which does not appear on the 1st edition. Stone enclosures of this sort are often seen in the landscape and are often difficult or impossible to date unless they relate to other features in the landscape. On the OS 1st edition map this land was under woodland. Topographic survey was carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2012 ahead of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route.
