Full Description

Farmstead, still in use, depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition shows four buildings arranged around a court with a large walled garden to the southwest, and to the southeast a rectangular building with attached horsemill. The layout is essentially unchanged on the 2nd edition although the horsemill is no longer shown. In the centre of the northwest wall of the garden is a greenhouse, and at the western corner of the garden a small structure, a gardener's bothy. Between the bothy and the churchyard wall is a doorway, blocked by brick, but which has been constructed using various pieces of carved stones that may have come from the old church (NO89NW0006). There have since been further additions and alterations and three new houses have been built in the former garden.
