Full Description

Farmstead, depicted on historic OS maps. The OS 1st edition map shows a house and garden, on the northeast side of which is a U-plan steading open to the southeast with a small building on the southeast. East of the garden is a long range, Further to the northeast is another L-plan range and rectangular building. By the time of the 2nd edition, the buildings immediately east and northeast of the garden had been removed, and the L-plan range extended to form a C-plan, its east wing extended to the north. Another building had been added to the west of this steading. The original house and garden has since been removed, the site occupied by a later care home. Standing building recording of the farmstead was carried out by AOC Archaeology in October 2014 ahead of proposed demolition for development.
