Full Description

House dating from the 18th and early 19th century. The mansion was altered by William Henderson in circa 1860, with additions by Walker and Duncan in 1937. It comprises two storeys with a garret, and is harled with a slated roof with canted dormers. At the east end is a single-storey wing with a pilastered doorway, and there is a two-storey rear wing. The house and garden are depicted on historic OS maps. These show the L-plan house with an L-plan and rectangular ranges to the northeast. The garden wall on the east side dates fromthe 18th century, and is of thick rubble with a sloped coping to the outside and a single course of bricks at the top. There are ball capped gatepiers.
