Full Description
Doocot, probably dating from the late 18th century. This well preserved stone harled dovecot stands in the grounds of Milton of Murtle. It is on an unusual pear-shaped plan, built of boulder rubble with brick. An asbestos roof was added over the court in 1970. At that time the farm was part of a small complex of buildings also including the Mill of Murtle, a corn and barley mill, and a police station.
