Full Description

Croft, still in use as cottages, depicted on historic maps - on which it is named Burnside Croft. Blairs Estate maps of 1830 and 1842 show two rectangular buildings set at right angles. By the time of the OS 1st edition the east building had been replaced further north. The 2nd edition OS also shows the addition of two smaller buildings to the northwest and east. The buildings were recorded by MAS in 2012 as part of an historic landscape survey of the Blairs estate. The two earlier buildings have been joined and extensions added. They are of part stone and part harled stone, with modern windows. This was the tailor's house in the 19th century.
