Full Description

Farmstead, still in use, depicted on historic maps from the early 19th century. Blairs estate maps of 1830 and 1842 show two rectangular buildings set at right angles. It was named Kintoulin on the OS 1st edition and 2nd edition maps which show a U-plan steading, open to the south, with a long range to the west, and two enclosures to the north at the east end of which is another rectangular building. . The farmstead was recorded by MAS in 2012 as part of an historic landscape survey of the Blairs estate. This noted that the steading had been infilled or replaced. Other buildings have been added to north and south of the steading, and to the west Kintewline Cottage has been built since circa 1900.
