Full Description
The Skene war memorial stands at the entrance to the parish church of Skene (NJ80NW0003). It commemorates the dead of World War I. It is a plain cross surmounting a plain tapering rectangular base standing on a projecting base below which there is a border of projecting squares decorating its underside. This overlies the rectangular base which sits on a three-step base, the lowest of which is of rough hewn granite. The upper step has a small undecorated plaque in the centre of each side. Full transcription of memorial held in AAS Digital Archive.
