Full Description

Farmstead still in use. On the 1st edition OS map of 1869 it is called 'Northside of Cairnie' and shown as a C-shaped steading, with enclosure and horsemill attached to the north range, a smaller building partially blocking the court at the south, an L-shaped building further south with two rectangular enclosures attached to the south front. By the 2nd edition OS map of 1901 there is an additional building to the south-west of the steading. The 2006 map shows that the steading is still in use, all other early buildings having been removed.
