Full Description

Farmstead, still in use, depicted on historic OS maps. On the 1st edition it is named Wineford and comprises a group of three ranges, the southern one with an attached horsemill on the south side. The east range had been removed by the time of the 2nd edition map, and the south range extended to the south to form an L-plan. To the southeast is a pond and sluice with a lade leading to the east wing of the range. Another small L-plan building had been added to the north of this range. It is named Wyndford on the 2nd edition map, now Wynford. A building survey of the steading was carried out by Cameron Archaeology in September 2010 ahead of proposed conversion to a café and playbarn. Three phases of building were recorded: the farmstead appears to date from the 19th century and later.
