Full Description

Tollhouse built in the early 19th century. A single-storey rubble building of red sandstone with a semi-octagonal end, and slate roof. It was one of three erected along the Turriff turnpike, which was completed in 1802. Originally comprising two rooms reached from a small entrance lobby.
