Full Description

Remains of a clearance cairn, quarry and field boundary recorded during walkover survey in 2021 by Mott Macdonald in advance of 33kV refurbishment works (NJ63NE0097). The cairn comprises mixed small to medium angular fieldstones with occasional larger fieldstones, and measuring 1m by 5 m, and 1.4 m high. Relatively modern. The quarry, is sub-rectangular measuring 12 m by 6.5 m and over 5 m deep, with modern rubbish within. To the northwest and southwest of the quarry are two stretches of degraded field boundary, standing up to five course at its maximum.
