Full Description
Remains of a section of the Great North of Scotland Railay (Macduff section) between Fyive Station (NJ73NE0087) and Blackbog (NJ73NW0038). Depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. Two mileposts and a signal post are shown along this section. Site visit during walkover survey in ahead of electricity cabling works (NJ73NW0087) recorded that where the line crossed the study corridor (centred NJ 74887 37840) the line survives as a wide, heavily overgrown embankment with a flat top which measures 6 - 7 m wide.
