Full Description
Farmstead still in use. The OS 1st edition map shows a U-plan steading 'denoted as offices', open to the south, with a building attached to the north side and a smaller one within the court. To the east is a sluice and rectangular pond. A rectangular building (cottage) stands to the south alongside the road, and further south are a small rectangular building and L-plan building with attached enclosures, named Lofthillock. The layout is essentially unchanged on the 2nd edition OS map. Current maps indicate further additions to the steading. The pond has been infilled and a building stands on the site.
Photograohic recording of the then derelict bothy/cottage was carried out in 2025.
