Full Description
Farmstead still in use. It is depicted on the OS 1st edition 1867 map which shows a U-shaped steading open to the east, with a Z-plan range attached on its south side, a small rectangular building to the west, and farmhouse within garden enclosure to the south. A lade runs to the steading from two ponds some distance to the north. By the time of the OS 2nd edition 1888 map some alterations had been made to south side of the steading complex. The building to the west is now roofless. Only the southern of the two ponds is shown. Current maps show that the second pond has also been infilled 'the site now largely under a realigned road', although at least part of the lade remains as a watercourse. The steading has been further altered and the former court is now occupied by buildings.
