Full Description
The old graveyard has a good collection of 17th Century gravestones within it, notably that to Walter Innes of Ardtannes (1616). There are also ball-capped gatepiers which are Listed category B. A mortsafe tackle formerly in the graveyard was moved to Inverurie Museum (now closed, see also MAB54871 for information on the mortsafe).
Also within the graveyard are four Pictish symbol stones (MAB18861), and the remains of a 12th Century motte and bailey castle (MAB44434 and MAB44437). The graveyard contains 11 First and Second World War Commonwealth war graves.
