Full Description

Parish church, still in use, built 1841-2. It is built in neo-perpendicular style. of roughly finished granite blocks with ashlar window and door surrounds, and slate roof. The east gable forming the formal front of the church facing the High Street, is of three bays with central pointed arch doorway, and square and octagonal pinnacles. On the gable apex is a tall gothic spired bellcote, . Side elevations have four large pointed arch windows. A chancel was added in 1875. The interior was altered in 1875, and more recently.

Period Notes
Present church was built 1841-2 and dedicated on 14th August, 1842. Interior altered 1875 and sanctuary added; refurbished 1965.
