Full Description
Remains of a quarry depicted on the OS 1st edition map. It does not appear on the 2nd edition map. A walkover survey was carried out by CFA Archaeology in April 2024 (NJ71SE0166), prior to the proposed development of a hydrogen plant. The survey found a semi-circular hollow at this location, cut by a drainage ditch on the eastern side. There are stones
piled up against the edge of the hollow. It appeared that sand and gravel had been extracted and the stones had been left.
