Full Description

Former farmstead, now in use as a business centre, the farmhouse still used as a dwellinghouse. It is depicted on the 1st edition OS map of 1867 which shows a quadrangular steading enclosing a court. There is a separate L-shaped building to the east with an attached horsemill and enclosure, and a further building and enclosure to the west of the steading. By the time of the 2nd edition the southern wing of the steading had been removed, leaving a U-plan range, and the horsemill is no longer depicted. A new long range and two small buildings have been added to the north. To the west of the steading stands an L-plan house. Almost all of the buildings remain in use, and additions have been made to the northern range.

Period Notes
Built 19thC; barn mid-18thC; farmstead converted to offices in 1994.
