Full Description
Kemnay Parish church and graveyard, built 1844-5, designed by James Henderson with later additions (James Matthews, 1871) and alterations (R. G. Wilson, 1900). It is a T-plan, very plain, rubble-built church with canted north and south gables. There is a bellcote at the south end and a large basket tracery window at the north end. There are lucarne windows in the roof. There is a session house to the west. The morthouse (NJ71NW0024), dating to 1831, is impregnable: lead-lined and semi-subterranean with granite ashlar front and iron door. The graveyard contains eight First and Second World War Commonwealth war graves.
