Full Description

Remains of a stone circle. It once consisted of nine stones, but now only one remains after the farmer removed the rest in 1876. The orientation of the stone, north-northeast to south-southwest, suggests that it was the west pillar and not the central stone as stated by Coles. Adjacent and on the northeast side is a vague circular rise circa 20 m in diameter, which may indicate the former extent of the circle. Two stones alleged by Ritchie to have been removed from circle are located at the side of a track to the south and there are others along the roadside to the east. It may have been a recumbent stone circle, although there is no sign of the recumbent.
