Farmstead depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition shows a U-plan steading, open to the south east with a smaller building to the east, and to the southeast a pond with sluice and a lade leading to the southwest wing of the steading. By the time of the 2nd edition the earlier buildings had been significantly altered or replaced: the 2nd edition shows an essentially U-plan steading open to the southwest with a small building to the southwest and an L-plan and a rectangular building to the west. Standing building survey of a prefabricated building west of those shown on the 2nd edition map was carried out by Cameron Archaeology in November 2009 prior to demolition. It was constructed of concrete panels on a concrete base blocks. A subsequent watching brief by Cameron Archaeology in June 2010 during topsoil stripping for a soakaway recorded no archaeological features or artefacts.
