Full Description
Remains of cairn. A robbed cairn of which only the outer rim survives. In the southwest quadrant some cairn material remains. In the north quadrant is a small cist, probably secondary which is oriented northeast-southwest, capstone lies close by. The traditional site where the Pictish King Orde fell in battle against the Scots is at NJ7270 0071. However, there is no trace of a cairn at that site which is an improbable position on sloping ground.
