Full Description
An early 19th century threshing mill still stands at Blairshinnoch. It consists of a single-storey attic and basement rubble building, with ashlar round the site of the overshot wheel, which was in a pit. The mill is depicted on the OS 1st edition map as a rectangular range orientated northwest/southwest, with an internal division and two open courts, one on either side of it. By the 2nd edition the central block has been removed making one larger central court. Now only the west and south sides remain, and part of the eastern side.
