Full Description
House, in use as a shop and house, built in 1741 on an earlier site, and perhaps incorporating earlier fabric. It is a three-storey and dormerless attic, three-bay house with a return gable to Boyndie Street (east). It is harled with painted ashlar margins, and a modernised ground floor as two shops flanking the original centre door. The first floor windows are enlarged as bipartites in outer bays. The return north gable to Boyndie Street has two first floor windows, a single second floor window and small attic window with seating for two iron grill bars in the sill and lintel. Plate glass and four-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows are used. There are crowstepped gables, deep roll moulded copes to corniced end stacks and cavetto skewputts, that at the north to Boyndie Street with a grotesque mask.
