Full Description
A magnificent semi-circular rubble arch bridge, with a chamber in the west abuttment, which crosses the River Deveron. Part of the picturesque landscape of Duff House, it was built in 1771-3, designed by the Duke of Fife, possibly with Thomas Reid and James Robertson, mason. It is single span and incorporates a small room in the west abutment. Built of sneck-harled, random rubble with an ashlar coped parapet. The mural room has pointed arch openings - a doorway to the north and window to the south, with pointed barrell vault and fireplace to the interior.
