Full Description
Boyne limeworks, remains of limekilns and an area of quarrying depicted on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps. Lime quarrying is still being carried out at the site. Two watching briefs were carried out by AOC Archaeology in 2019 (NJ66NW0036) and 2021 (NJ66NW0038) during topsoil stripping for quarry expansion to the southwest.
