Full Description

Former corn mill and steading depicted on historic OS maps which show a group of four buildings. The mill, dating from the late 18th-early 19th century, possibly incorporates earlier fabric. It is a 1-storey and attic rubble building on an L-plan with a louvred kiln vent. Now converted to a dwelling house. A dummy waterwheel has been installed downstream of the original wheel site. The single storey, long low 3-bay former steading is rubble built with tooled rubble dressings. It has three doorways in the long east elevation and a further entrance in the north gable, and a pantiled roof with large loft lights. Now used as dwellinghouse. The 19th century miller's house is roofless.

Period Notes
Mill probably established in the 17th century. Listed 23/05/1990.
