Full Description
A plain rectangular towerhouse mansion, the walls of the west wing possibly 16th century. the east wing built 1711-12. The whole building has the style of early 18th century. The house was derelict by the 1960s, gutted by fire in the 1970s, but was restored in 1990s.
Period Notes
Barony granted 1646; E wing dated 1711; estate sold 1798. Walled garden, mill, forge, pedimented farm square, clock, doocots, and octagonal lodge c.1800; restored in 1990's.
