Full Description
Possible cairn, the remains of an artificial mound of earth and stones. It is mutilated by infilling and defaced by a ditch so that positive classification is impossible. However, one old tradition, no longer in vogue, is that it was made as a refuge, but due to its exposed position this is probably erroneous. It is also thought to have been a parish boundary marker, but as it is too big and does not occur on a bend of the boundary, this is probably wrong as well.
