Full Description

Remains of a tumulus (burial mound). It was excavated in 1906 and found to contain three separate burials each with a different type of beaker: a AOC, N1/D and a N2 (Clarke classification). The tumulus was almost entirely composed of sand mixed with clay. OS in 1964 recorded the tumulus as a much-mutilated and overgrown mound of earth measuring circa 25 m in diameter and standing up to 1.7 m high. The beakers were donated to the NMS in the 1960s.
