Full Description

It is on a rectangular plan, harled with tooled granite ashlar dressings and margins, and slate roofs. The entrance in the east gable was masked by a gabled porch, circa 1975, echoing to the rear west gable vestry was added in 1899. There is a former vestry with a door in the south elevation, flanked by a window and with an end chimney stack. The south elevation is lit by four long, round-arched, keystoned windows. Both these, and a single square-headed former gallery window in each gable, are multi-pane, with margined glazing. There is a birdcage ashlar bellcote at the east gable apex (no bell survives) with a ball finial at the west end. Plans of 1899 show the layout of the 1835-1836 church with the pulpit in the middle of the south wall, a long central communion table, and a gallery.

The church was recast in 1899 to the west, with a minister's vestry added to the west gable, the pulpit against the west wall, and rows of seats divided by the two side aisles. The church was closed in circa 1972, secularised in circa 1975, and its contents and fittings sold in 1982, although the conversion to a dwelling reused some 1899 balusters.
