Full Description

Farmstead and mill, depicted on the 1st edition OS map as a U-plan steading with substantial rectangular plan corn mill to the east. Two dams are shown, to the north and southwest, with interconnecting mill lades. By the 2nd edition map, the dam and lade to the north have been removed. Today, the steading appears to survive but a range of buildings have been added to form a south wing. Additional buildings have also been added to the north. There continues to be an operating mill on the east side of the steading, but it is considerably larger than the 19th Century mill and it is not clear what , if anything, survives of the early mill building.
