Full Description
Remains of cairn. Although the OS Name Book (1867) states that the tumulus had been completely ploughed away, OS site visit 164 recorded a slight, almost circular, grass-covered mound 15.5m in diameter, the height varying from ground level to 0.7m. Quantities of stone were noted in a patch of rough pasture to the north. Although the content of the mound cannot be ascertained, it has probably been a cairn, judging by the amount of stone clearance adjacent.
