Full Description

Church and site of a chapel with an associated graveyard. The present church is built on the site of the once heather-thatched 'Chapel of Parkdargue' which was destroyed by Cumberland in 1745. The present church was built in the early English style in circa 1856 by architect William Ramage. The church is aligned east-west and comprises a nave, porch, chancel, and tower. It is built from coursed and roughly squared granite and has slate roofs. There are fine ashlar quoins, buttresses, and window surrounds. The church was closed in 1968 and restored between 1972-1991.
