Full Description

Dovecot and the remains of an adjacent walled garden, built in the 17th century to the south-west of Kinnairdy Castle (NJ64NW0001). The dovecot was restored in circa 1985, and is a square-plan, two-stage dovecot constructed from rubble with ashlar dressings and an alighting course dividing the stages. A door to the south has a window and flight holes above. There are grey slates to the renewed pyramidal roof, with swept eaves and a ball finial. The remains of the rubble walls of the walled garden are now ruinous and enclose a small area to the south of the adjacent dovecot.
