Full Description
Ruined mansion, now roofless, built in 1836. The central portion is rubble built, 3-storey, and 3-window. A 2-storey Italianate south addition is T-plan, harled with granite margins, and a broad low-pitched roof. There is a porte-cochere entrance tower on the west with a dome on the pendentives and low pyramid roof. Wooden conservatory in the angle. An office block on the north side of the original house is probably of about the same date. It had twin curved gables with cruciform chimneys. Both Simpson and Smith are credited with work at Haddo.
