Full Description
Remains of a stone circle. Only one stone remains, but circa 1860 a circle of stones extended to the north of it. In 1871 a large flat slab of greywacke was found to the north of it. This looked like a cist-cover though no note was taken of anything found under it. The remaining stone was removed circa 1988 and dumped at Shielburn Steading. It was replaced back on the site of the circle (not dug in - on surface) by Mr Willets on 10/9/98. Stone is 1.35m high, 1.4m wide and circa 1.1m thick.
