Full Description

Remains of a small stone circle, sited on a gentle hill. It comprises 6 very large stones. The largest stone is to the northwest and has a vein of quartz around it. The interior of the circle is level and smooth. The southeast stone has broken and the top half has fallen forward. This setting has been compared with Image Wood, Aboyne (NO59NW0001) and Glassel Wood (NO69NW0002) as being transitional in form between recumbent stone circles and four-posters (Burl 1971).
