Remains of a farmstead depicted on the OS 1st edition map. It is an L-shaped building orientated northwest-southeast and the northern extension northeast-southwest. There is another small building to the west and one to the south near the burn. By the time of the 2nd edition the building to the south and west have gone but another small structure lies immediately east of the farmstead. Now only one small building and part of an enclosure survives. Recorded during walkover survey in 2022 by Mott Macdonald in advance of 33kV refurbishment works (NJ64NW0147). The remaining building is rectangular, constructed of irregular medium and large stones and slabs with lime mortar. It measures 10.5 m by 5 m width and stands 5.5 m high at the south gable, the remainder of walls standing to around 2 m. The gable has a window at the peak. There is an entrance on the east side including wooden lintel and doorframe lined by stone labels. To the northeast is a possible associated cairn, comprising a circular pile of stones hidden by grass within the area of unimproved land. It measures roughly 3 m by 4 m and is 0.5 m high. To the southeast is a degraded drystone wall, circa 7 m in length.
