Full Description

Remains of a farmstead depicted on the OS 1st edition map. This shows three buildings, a well and a garden. The southern building had been removed by the time of the 2nd edition map and the other two buildings joined to form an L-plan, with a horsemill on the northeast side. The remains were recorded during walkover survey in 2022 by Mott Macdonald in advance of 33kV refurbishment works (NJ64NW0147). The surviving building is rectangular, constructed of irregular stones, surviving up to three or four courses. There is an entrance to the southeast.
