Full Description
Whin-mill. Wheel of grindstone type of mill in regular use in 1890 and occasional use in 1920s. The shaft measured 4.26 m long, 0.22 m diameter, the course 4.57 m in diameter. Neighbouring farmers use to bring their whin shoots to Skatebrae for a small charge.
