Full Description
Remains of a small granite quarry depicted on historic OS maps. Known as the English Quarry as it was worked by an English company and said that the blocks were exported for the building of Sheerness Docks. A small unroofed structured shown on the OS 1st edition map was probably removed by later quarrying. The quarry appears to have been in use in the early part of the 19th century, possibly ceasing to work around 1820.
