Full Description
Graveyard, and site of St Ninian's Church. There is no record of its date of construction but in 1256 there was a prebendery at Oyne annexed to the Chapter of Aberdeen. The walls of the chapel were removed some time before 1870 to enlarge and repair the graveyard wall. The burial ground is rectangular in plan and enclosed by a well maintained coped rubble and mortar wall. The monuments consist principally of 19th century headstones, although numerous 18th and 19th century ledge stones survive to the southwest of the site of the church. There is now no trace of church though graveyard still in use.
