Full Description
Remains of a cairn. A turf-covered cairn 9.1m in diameter and up to 0.5m high, with hollowed centre. OS Name Book (1867) records that it was partially opened by the farmer, revealing a large flat stone , possibly a cist capstone. No trace of this stone now. RCAHMS site visit 1996 recorded that the cairn is surrounded by the remains of rig and furrow, the rigs up to 6m in breadth, surviving within the area of an oval plantation shown on the OS 1st edition map.
