Full Description

Recumbent stone circle originally comprised of 13 stones but now only the recumbent, the southeast flanker, the base of the northwest flanker, five erect stones and one prostrate remain. A kerb can be traced circa 2 m within the ring of monoliths except in the west where it has been ploughed out. According to Dalrymple there were two inner concentric circles giving a tiered effect, 21 m and 19.50 m in diameter, but there is now no trace of these. The outer circle was faced with stones up to 45 cm high. A grave in the centre was paved with small boulders on which a small quantity of burnt bones and fragments of urn were found.
