Full Description

Farmstead, still in use, depicted on the 2nd edition OS map as a U-plan steading open to the southeast, with a small farmhouse to the southeast. Both buildings survive, but the steading has been considerably enlarged. Described in the sale particulars of Tonley Estate in 1947 as follows: 'The house is granite built and contains 2 bedrooms, box room, sitting room, kitchen, scullery and milk house. The farm steading contains single-bay cart shed, 2-stall stable, granary, byre for 11, threshing floor, small straw store and turnip house'.
